Sault Ste. Marie, March 9

Over the Rainbow Children’s Series

Around 130 people cozied in to the Grand Theatre on Saturday afternoon. We had a lovely time with this lighthearted crowd. The first day of March Break created a festive atmosphere to the afternoon.  An enthusiastic little one was heard  exclaiming “A golden egg!” each time the speckled hen laid an egg, We could hear many of the adults laughing along with the children throughout the show.

Darryll went to see “Jack the Giant the Slayer,” at the cinema, Friday, our night off. He felt proud of our version of the story, and that we made changes and still stayed sensitive to the Brothers Grimm story.

Sandra Houson from the Arts Council handed out door prizes at the end of the show.

We had a delicious lunch courtesy of Muio’s restaurant close by the Grand Theatre on Queen St. E. Also, a delightful two night stay courtesy of the Delta, on the waterfront, wow was that nice.

We hope to add photos from the marionette workshops and shadow puppet workshops we gave at the Terantorus School. What a great time we had with the two classes and their teachers. Thanks to the Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie for organizing the workshops.
